Text Box: The Boring Stuff. Bookings may be made by telephone or e-mail, but must be confirmed with a signed booking form available on request or downloaded from the internet. A deposit of 25% of the full fee is required when booking. The outstanding balance payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. The accommodation is available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday; short-breaks normally from Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday. All heating and electricity is included If the owner is prevented by circumstances beyond their control from making the accommodation available, they will refund all the monies paid but no further liability will be accepted. The number in the party must be stated and must not exceed the maximum 4 people +baby in Squire Cottage and 2 people in Xidong Cottage. All amenities provided by the owners for guests are used entirely at the guest’s risk and no responsibility will be accepted by the owners other than that resulting from the owner’s negligence. Care of accommodation:- Guests are required to treat the cottages with due care. It is a condition of booking that should any damage occur, the cost of damage may be born by the party concerned, at the discretion of the owners. Cancellations:- When you book any holiday you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you have to cancel or cut short your holiday for whatever reason, then you will be liable for any cancellation charges we may have to make. In your best interests, we strongly advise you to take out holiday and cancelled booking insurance to safeguard you holiday.

Xidong Cottage is available to rent for one night at a time.  Try it as an alternative to Bed and Breakfast.  The cost for a single night is £120 and can only be booked a few days in advance.  Please ring for availability.  01547 530530  (go to Xidong page for more information)

Short Breaks: During the winter short breaks are on offer; either Fri/Sat/Sun nights or Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs nights can be booked in advance.
Please note that short break holidays may be available during the high season if the cottages are still available 4 weeks before the start date. Please contact me for availability. The price quoted is 70% of the rate for the relevant week.

The price includes: Duvets, bed linen, towels, electricity, firewood and central heating. There is an honesty box for the use of the telephone in the farmhouse.

Pets: There is a separate charge for domestic pets of £15 each. Please keep dogs under control and not allow them into the bedrooms. Stabling and grazing is available for horses; please ring to discuss.

Access: Xidong Cottage is not suitable for toddlers and young children or disabled adults; Squire Cottage has wheel-chair access downstairs and a ground floor lavatory. Very young babies are extremely welcome in either cottage and there is a cot available (please ask). See access statement for more information

Deposit: To secure a booking please send a deposit of 25% of the total cost. The full amount is payable four weeks before arrival.

Cancellations: If you have to cancel the booking your deposit will be returned if I am able to re-let that week.

Start Day: Friday; please arrive any time after 3pm and on the last day please leave before 10am to allow time for us to clean and titivate before our next visitors.

Please note. There is a no smoking policy for both cottages.
